...working with the W3C or World Wide Web Consortium. For those who do not know, this site provides an abundance of information on how to make your site W3C compliant and thus more likely to appear exactly how you want it to on most browsers.
Using the validator tool here will help you identify the errors on your site, with tips on how to go about fixing them, and why they are not valid markup.
For anyone serious about web design I suggest you check it out.
