The World Wide Web Turns 15
In celebration of 15 years of the "http" protocol, CNN has compiled its list of the 10 greatest moments of the web's first 15 years of existence. After exploding thanks to browsers such as Mosaic and Netscape, up and coming companies such as Yahoo!, Amazon, and eBay, and the dot-com boom, the WWW has become an integral part of our everyday lives. We're seeing what amounts to a second boom era, with companies such as Google and Skype picking up where upstarts Yahoo! and Hotmail left off.
